COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION SOCKET, TAPER, REDUCING SLEEVE
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description for all federal agencies.
1. SCOPE. This commercial item description (CID) establishes the government acquisition requirements for reducing sleeve taper sockets used to adapt small taper shank tools to larger size spindles.
2. CLASSIFICATION. The tapers shall be of the sizes listed in table I. The size to be furnished shall be as specified (see 7.3(b)).
2.1 Taper sizes. The taper sizes listed in table I correspond to dimensions of internal and external
