2.4 Arbor hole diameter. The arbor hole diameter to be furnished shall be one of the sizes listed in table II (see 7.3(e)).

3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
3.1 General requirements. The wheel shall be new, free from blemishes and defects, and capable
of operation in accordance with the requirements herein. The wheel shall have a uniform, balanced, concentric, and true finishing surface. Sewn wheels shall be stitched with high quality industrial thread. Unless otherwise specified (see 7.3 (f)), hubs or inserts shall be furnished as an integral part of the buff.
3.2 Sewing. Loose sewn buffing wheels (class 1) shall have one row of stitching around the arbor hole. The stitch spacing on class 2 and 3 wheels shall be as specified (see 7.3 (g)).
3.3 Ply. Unless otherwise specified (see 7.3 (h)), class 1, 2, and 3 wheels shall be 20 ply. Class 4 wheels shall be 14 ply for wheels under 10 inches in diameter and 16 ply for wheels 10 inches in diameter and greater.
